Building for Enterprise

Helping to Launch a Department

Playing an important role within a close-knit team, Superframe helped create an enterprise website for Coursera's Business Department. The platform aimed to attract business clients to Coursera's portfolio of enterprise course offerings. This project spanned early-stage participation, user experience design, and optimization efforts that helped define Coursera's enterprise engagement.

Introduction

In the era of digital learning, Coursera sought to expand its reach and serve businesses looking for high-quality educational solutions for their employees. The objective went beyond simply building a website, the platform needed to properly represent Coursera's brand, communicate the value of a business education, and actively convert visitors into enterprise clients.

Problem

Coursera's business department was relying on a CRM landing page to attract B2B clients. As the department grew, an enterprise-level website became a necessity. With tight budgets and a small team, the challenge was building a solution that satisfied both customers and stakeholders.

  • Scoping and Ideation: Active participation in early-stage meetings helped select a platform suited to a startup environment, with brainstorming sessions identifying the key elements of a successful enterprise website.
  • Design Support: Tasked with developing new design language for core web components, including course tiles, pricing tables, landing pages, and conversion forms.
  • Responsive Design: Designs were established and front-end code built to perform flawlessly across all desktop and mobile devices.
  • Programming: All back-end code was developed in close coordination with the security team, system administrators, and outside vendors.
  • Optimization: Conversion forms and landing pages were continuously tested and refined to improve conversion rates and overall site performance.
  • Data Integration: Real-world data was integrated alongside on-site SEO optimization to ensure the site operated at peak performance.

Process

Working on an accelerated timeline, the team delivered an enterprise-level website that exceeded expectations.

Course Showcase: A central element of the website is the presentation of Coursera’s enterprise-focused courses and certifications, which cater to businesses looking to upskill their employees.

User-Friendly Navigation: The website offers a streamlined user experience, making it easy for visitors to explore course offerings, certifications, and other relevant information.

Customized Solutions: The platform provides tailored solutions for businesses, allowing them to find courses that align with their industry, employee roles, and specific learning objectives.

Solution

The project was a resounding success. In the words of the Head of Global Enterprise Marketing at Coursera, the new website took the department "from 1 to 100." Superframe was a driving force in helping transform the department. The platform proved to be a significant driver of Coursera's enterprise growth, helping establish the department as a leader in corporate education.
